The House of Pacific Relations International Cottages (HPR) is a community organization dedicated to fostering cooperation and understanding between national groups. The House of Pacific Relations was founded in 1935 as part of the California Pacific International Exposition held in Balboa Park. Balboa Park is a large municipal park of the city of San Diego in California.
The House of Ukraine became one of the House of Pacific Relations International Cottages founded in 1960.
The House of Pacific Relations sponsors a cultural and educational service organization for young members of the various Houses of HPR. The HPR Queens Organization fosters a spirit of understanding, tolerance and goodwill between all ethnicities and nationalities, and prepares its members to be adult members of their Houses. The Queens act as goodwill ambassadors of HPR and present the music and dance of various ethnic groups at events throughout San Diego County.
