House of Ukraine is a cultural museum in San Diego providing
information to the public about the country of Ukraine.
Our purpose is to promote and cultivate the art, history,
customs, language, and traditions of Ukraine. We sponsor educational
presentations, demonstrations, and events devoted to Ukrainian culture as well
as organize various cultural and fund-raising events. In the museum you can find displays of cultural artifacts,
books, pictures, maps, and ethnic costumes.
The museum is open to the public every Sunday from noon to 4 pm, and is
located in Balboa Park, within the city of San Diego, California,
alongside many other art, science, and cultural museums, and is also
just a short walk from the San Diego Zoo.
Members of House of Ukraine are organized to offer
hospitality to all people of Ukrainian birth or descent, as well as to foster
and cultivate a spirit of understanding, goodwill, and cooperation among the
various national groups represented in the House of Pacific Relations International Cottages (HPR), and to exert continuous efforts to bring
